From
the Pecanbread list :- Mindy replies to a mom considering SCD™
She has made incredible
changes. She is 6 years old (almost 7) and in a few short months,
she went from
socially being comparable to a 3 year old, to now being that of a
5 year old. And the progress isn't slowing down. I don't know if anyone
else
has seen this kind of progress, but Madison's advances are so incredible,
that
I don't think the people in first grade will recognize the kindergartner
from last year. I never imagined her doing so well this quickly.
Last week,
she asked me the first "why" question in her life
and
hasn't stopped asking me the "why's" of things. She's watching
movies that aren't cartoons and asking me questions related to the story. "What
happened to Spiderman's father?" (though it was
Spiderman's uncle) The most significant change that happened almost immediately
was the space out episodes she would have. Her teachers
were telling me she was increasingly spacey and hard to "bring
back". I saw this all the time at home too. She hasn't done that
once since we started the diet. Again, I didn't see any obvious GI
symptoms at all, but there must have been something.
