I suffered for 5 years with "abdominal migraine". I was in and out of various emergency rooms with acute attacks of horrific stomach pain and vomiting. I would wind up each time on an IV drip with a cocktail of pain relievers, anti-nausea drugs, AND I would need to be re-hydrated for hours. Eventually I became quite the physical and emotional wreck. NO gastroenterologist or neurologist could help me.

Side note: I have always had benign neutropenia. It's a low neutrophil count and there's no reason for it, nor does it affect your health. So my neutrophil count was ALWAYS at around 3 on any routine blood test. Still is, actually. Whenever I went to the ER, they would test my blood, nothing wrong. One day as I was leaving, I asked for my records. My neutrophil count was at 10. It had more than tripled. But because 10 is still within "normal" range, nobody ever investigated it. It just wasn't normal for ME. I talked it over with my friend who is studying to be a doctor, and he said it certainly sounded like I was having attacks of some kind of inflammation. After doing some research, I bought this book.

I followed the SCD for ONE MONTH, and I never had another problem with my stomach. Never. Ever. I was even able to resume a normal diet after that month. Whatever healing magic the diet works has been permanent in my case. I am now 3 years past those horrifying experiences. Try it. The book costs a few bucks but the diet itself is free. You have nothing to lose but the suffering. I am now able to live the life of a normal, carefree 27-year-old.
